Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kano Tansetsu could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Lin Hejing and his crane changed hands for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,730.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kano Tansetsu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and flowers in autumn and winter in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 28,744.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kano Tansetsu konnte im März 2013 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wechselte die Arbeit Lin Hejing and his crane für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.730,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kano Tansetsu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and flowers in autumn and winter im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 28.744,58).
