Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Autumn grasses by a stream by Kano Tansetsu for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,130.75). This price was achieved in the auction An American Dynasty: The Clark Family Treasures at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kano Tansetsu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Birds and flowers in autumn and winter, which sold at auction in October 2001 for USD 25,850.00 (€ 28,744.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Autumn grasses by a stream von Kano Tansetsu für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.130,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion An American Dynasty: The Clark Family Treasures bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kano Tansetsu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Birds and flowers in autumn and winter beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für USD 25.850,00 (€ 28.744,58) versteigert wurde.
