A top price for Kamel Moustafa - as previously expected
In April 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work The Seller of Lupines by Kamel Moustafa. The price achieved of USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,766.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Seller of Lupines is the most expensive artwork by Kamel Moustafa that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Seller of Lupines von Kamel Moustafa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 23.766,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Seller of Lupines das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kamel Moustafa, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
