Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Palestinian Refugees by Kamel Moustafa was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online auction at Bonhams in January this year. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,235.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kamel Moustafa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Seller of Lupines, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,766.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Palestinian Refugees von Kamel Moustafa wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.235,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kamel Moustafa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Seller of Lupines beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 37.000,00 (€ 23.766,70) versteigert wurde.
