Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Inokuma Genichiro (1902-1993) by Kaburagi Kiyokata was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2013. The auction ended at the price of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,847.06), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaburagi Kiyokata achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meiji fuzoku suzumibune (Meiji fashion, summer cooling boat) in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 26,290.00 (€ 26,612.01).
