In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included this untitled work by K. G. Subramanyan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,515.71), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by K. G. Subramanyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mask, Icon, Mount, Mascot in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 185,000.00 (€ 144,350.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von K. G. Subramanyan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.515,71) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von K. G. Subramanyan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mask, Icon, Mount, Mascot im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 144.350,81).
