Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A kitchen interior with a maid and a child conversing with a man carrying a basket of grapes; and A kitchen interior with a maid and a man conversing and a child playing with a cat by Justus Juncker. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,365.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justus Juncker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Der Alchimist, which sold at auction in May 2017 for EUR 21,080.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A kitchen interior with a maid and a child conversing with a man carrying a basket of grapes; and A kitchen interior with a maid and a man conversing and a child playing with a cat von Justus Juncker zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.365,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Justus Juncker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Der Alchimist beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für EUR 21.080,00 versteigert wurde.
