Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work The rapid pleasure of voiding this matter (disarrange the poses, break up the poses, everything will change soon, change the pose) for let us put some order into these proceedings by Justin Matherly. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,090.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justin Matherly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All excellent things are as difficult as they are rare (Champion sound), which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,129.60).
