Signed Jussi Mäntynen and dated 1945. Foundry mark A:Pettersson fud and numbered 2/10. Bronze, green patina. Height 27.5 cm (including wood base 1.5 cm).
Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Moose and calfs by Jussi Mäntynen for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,705.58). This price was achieved in the auction Klassiska at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jussi Mäntynen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lynx in June 2012 with an auction result of SEK 110,000.00 (€ 12,556.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Moose and calfs von Jussi Mäntynen für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.705,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Klassiska bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jussi Mäntynen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lynx im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 110.000,00 (€ 12.556,05).
