Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Larmande kraft" (=Forceful strength) by Jussi Mäntynen was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 65,000.00 (€ 6,928.93). Other works by Jussi Mäntynen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2012 by the work Lynx at SEK 110,000.00 (€ 12,556.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Larmande kraft" (=Forceful strength) von Jussi Mäntynen im Juni 2016 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 65.000,00 (€ 6.928,93) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jussi Mäntynen wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2012 die Arbeit Lynx mit SEK 110.000,00 (€ 12.556,05).
