Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Klassiska, which included the work "Cavalry Captain Göran Rosenhane" (1649–1677) by Jürgen Ovens. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 90,000.00 (€ 9,722.97), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jürgen Ovens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elegant Family Portrait, Traditionally Identified As Colonel John Hutchinson (1616-1664) And His Family in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 119,936.26).
