Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Selections from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund, which included this untitled work by Jun Dobashi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 772.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jun Dobashi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition Du Village, which sold at auction in October last year for EUR 1,968.00.
