Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish La Niña Torera (The Torero Girl) by Julio Romero de Torres was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 329,679.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Romero de Torres - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fuensanta, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 826,900.00 (€ 1,157,873.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spanish La Niña Torera (The Torero Girl) von Julio Romero de Torres kam im November 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 301.250,00 (€ 329.679,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Romero de Torres mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fuensanta beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 826.900,00 (€ 1.157.873,93) versteigert wurde.
