In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Joven De Perfil (Young Woman In Profile) by Julio Romero de Torres. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 50,900.00 (€ 71,273.17), 45% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio Romero de Torres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fuensanta in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 826,900.00 (€ 1,157,873.93).

Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joven De Perfil (Young Woman In Profile) von Julio Romero de Torres zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 71.273,17) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio Romero de Torres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fuensanta im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 826.900,00 (€ 1.157.873,93).
