Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In The Farmyard by Julien Dupré was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2016. The price achieved of USD 72,500.00 (€ 63,368.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julien Dupré - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Au retour de la moisson, which sold at auction in April 2003 for USD 265,100.00 (€ 215,879.48).

Für andere Arbeiten von Julien Dupré mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Au retour de la moisson beobachtet, die im April 2003 für USD 265.100,00 (€ 215.879,48) versteigert wurde.
