Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Juliana Séraphim was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in March 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,783.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juliana Séraphim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,121.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Juliana Séraphim im März 2019 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.783,22) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juliana Séraphim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.121,45).
