In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Tuscan Landscape by Julian Trevelyan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,812.50 (€ 9,717.21), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Julian Trevelyan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Durham Wharf in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,570.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tuscan Landscape von Julian Trevelyan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 9.717,21) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Trevelyan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Durham Wharf im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.250,00 (€ 54.570,45).
