The work Gorge on Gozo by Julian Trevelyan was worth GBP 32,562.50 (€ 35,905.45) to a buyer in September 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Julian Trevelyan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Durham Wharf sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,570.45).
