It achieved a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,971.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Julian Trevelyan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Durham Wharf in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,570.45).

Die Arbeit Eights on the Thames von Julian Trevelyan wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.971,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julian Trevelyan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Durham Wharf im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.250,00 (€ 54.570,45).
