This artwork by Jules Scalbert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2020. In the European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work The Boating Party sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,974.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Scalbert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le bord de la Marne in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 275,000.00 (€ 242,675.61).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Scalbert erzielte im April 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wurde die Arbeit The Boating Party für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.974,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Scalbert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le bord de la Marne im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 275.000,00 (€ 242.675,61).
