Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work True Seemings-3 by Jules Olitski. The price achieved of GBP 25,600.00 (€ 29,793.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Olitski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Crazy in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 774,000.00 (€ 634,738.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit True Seemings-3 von Jules Olitski zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.600,00 (€ 29.793,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Olitski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Crazy im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 774.000,00 (€ 634.738,40).
