Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Havre by Jules Ernest Renoux was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 463.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules Ernest Renoux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Avenue des Champs Elysées et Le Petit Palais in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,044.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Havre von Jules Ernest Renoux wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 312,00 (€ 463,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Ernest Renoux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Avenue des Champs Elysées et Le Petit Palais im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.044,26).
