Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collection From the distinguished decorator's houses in Madrid and Trujillo, Spain, which included the work Orellana 6 by Juana Francés. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,156.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juana Francés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Com la tierra, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 12,600.00.

Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collection From the distinguished decorator's houses in Madrid and Trujillo, Spain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orellana 6 von Juana Francés zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.156,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Juana Francés mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Com la tierra beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 12.600,00 versteigert wurde.
