Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Marriage by Juan Pablo Salinas was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 35,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 36,250.00 (€ 51,112.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Pablo Salinas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The matador's triumph, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 91,750.00 (€ 156,826.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Marriage von Juan Pablo Salinas kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 36.250,00 (€ 51.112,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Pablo Salinas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The matador's triumph beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 91.750,00 (€ 156.826,98) versteigert wurde.
