Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work In the tavern by Juan Antonio Gonzales for GBP 188.00 (€ 303.84). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Antonio Gonzales achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The recital in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,732.83).
