The work Twelve Chinese Zodiac – Monkey (Executed In 1989) by Ju Ming was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 153,179.35), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ju Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taichi Series - Single Whip in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 20,820,000.00 (€ 1,922,718.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Twelve Chinese Zodiac – Monkey (Executed In 1989) von Ju Ming wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 153.179,35) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ju Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taichi Series - Single Whip im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.820.000,00 (€ 1.922.718,86).
