Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life of a red vase with white flowers by Joy Laville for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,434.69). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joy Laville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 20,315.00 (€ 17,265.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life of a red vase with white flowers von Joy Laville für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.434,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joy Laville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.315,00 (€ 17.265,85).
