This artwork by Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in May last year. In the African Contemporary Art auction, the work Nifa, 2022 sold for EUR 11,152.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Déjeuner En Vacances, 2021 sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of EUR 22,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion African Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Nifa, 2022 für EUR 11.152,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Déjeuner En Vacances, 2021 im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 22.100,00.
