Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Personne Ideale by Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,170.58), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Déjeuner En Vacances, 2021, which sold at auction in November 2021 for EUR 22,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Personne Ideale von Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.170,58) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jourdan Tchoffo Kuete mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Déjeuner En Vacances, 2021 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für EUR 22.100,00 versteigert wurde.
