Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barge Studies: One Inshore; And The Other Out At Sea (Illustrated) by Joseph Walter of Bristol was sold in the Maritime Pictures auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,305.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Walter of Bristol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Warping Up The Avon Heading For Bristol in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,038.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Barge Studies: One Inshore; And The Other Out At Sea (Illustrated) von Joseph Walter of Bristol wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Maritime Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert.
