This work of art by Joseph van Bredael could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work A river landscape with boats and carriages by a village changed hands for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,342.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph van Bredael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage d'hiver à la trappe aux oiseaux, d'après Pieter Brueghel in November last year with an auction result of EUR 170,560.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph van Bredael konnte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit A river landscape with boats and carriages by a village für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.342,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph van Bredael erzielen.
