Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cavaliers traversant un pont dans un paysage rocheux by Joseph van Bredael was sold in the Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire Collection auction at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. The price achieved of EUR 13,120.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph van Bredael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage d'hiver à la trappe aux oiseaux, d'après Pieter Brueghel in November last year with an auction result of EUR 170,560.00.

Die Arbeit Cavaliers traversant un pont dans un paysage rocheux von Joseph van Bredael wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire Collection bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.120,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph van Bredael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage d'hiver à la trappe aux oiseaux, d'après Pieter Brueghel im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 170.560,00.
