The »bidding war« ended at USD 704.00 (€ 645.40), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Raphael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tea In The Orchard in August 2019 with an auction result of USD 548,075.00 (€ 498,748.75).

Die Arbeit Beehives in Mr. Beaufort von Valkenberg's Garden, Oegstgeest (Netherlands) sight 16 3/4 x 21 3/4 in. framed 30 1/2 x 34 1/2 in. von Joseph Raphael wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 704,00 (€ 645,40) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Raphael erzielen.
