Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Picking meadow flowers by Joseph Morris Henderson. The price achieved of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,879.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Morris Henderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Looking out to sea, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,136.16).
