In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Looking out to sea by Joseph Morris Henderson. The price achieved of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,136.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Looking out to sea is the most expensive artwork by Joseph Morris Henderson that we have observed at auctions so far.
