A top price for Joseph Mellor - as previously expected
The work 'Brook in the Glen, near Shipley' by Joseph Mellor was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2000. The price achieved of GBP 977.50 (€ 1,625.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, 'Brook in the Glen, near Shipley' is the most expensive artwork by Joseph Mellor that we have observed at auctions so far.
