Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The veteran and the young child by Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellangé was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2003. The price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 683.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellangé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Reddition Du Fort D'Aboukir in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 53,880.00.
