Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Artcurial held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, which included the work Napoléon Et Un Officier Sur Le Champ De Bataille by Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellangé. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellangé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Reddition Du Fort D'Aboukir in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 53,880.00.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellangé erzielen.
