Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work The Valley Of The Feugh by Joseph Farquharson. The price achieved of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,067.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Farquharson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When The West With Evening Glows in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 344,998.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Valley Of The Feugh von Joseph Farquharson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.067,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Farquharson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When The West With Evening Glows im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 344.998,67).
