Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joseph Farquharson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in May this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Cattle grazing in sunny pastures sold for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,450.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Farquharson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When The West With Evening Glows in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 344,998.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Farquharson erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Cattle grazing in sunny pastures für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.450,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Farquharson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When The West With Evening Glows im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 344.998,67).
