Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph Caraud could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Magpie changed hands for USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,579.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Caraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Intérieur À Alger in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 105,290.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Caraud konnte im Januar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit The Magpie für USD 5.313,00 (€ 3.579,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Caraud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Intérieur À Alger im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.500,00 (€ 105.290,52).
