Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists, which included the work San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice by Joseph Arthur Palliser Severn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 600.00 (€ 905.26), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Arthur Palliser Severn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 20,625.00 (€ 25,348.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice von Joseph Arthur Palliser Severn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 905,26) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Arthur Palliser Severn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.625,00 (€ 25.348,79).
