The work Highland Landscape by Joseph Adam was auctioned at Sothebys in London in August 2006. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,461.19) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Adam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Near Loch Loi, Argyllshire, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,739.17).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.461,19) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Adam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Near Loch Loi, Argyllshire beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.739,17) versteigert wurde.
