This artwork by Josep Maria Subirachs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April last year. In the Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century auction, the work Untitled (Architectural Study) sold for USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,869.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josep Maria Subirachs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Architecture in April last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,265.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Josep Maria Subirachs erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Architectural Study) für USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.869,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josep Maria Subirachs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Architecture im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.265,16).
