Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Josef Oppenheimer could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Bexhill Beach changed hands for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,948.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josef Oppenheimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The tennis match, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 40,250.00 (€ 47,720.91).
