Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Protegéz L'Enfant! by Josef Müller-Brockmann was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 597.50). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josef Müller-Brockmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bea, Fly Viscount The Rolls Royce Of The Skies, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,539.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Protegéz L'Enfant! von Josef Müller-Brockmann im November 2010 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 500,00 (€ 597,50) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Josef Müller-Brockmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bea, Fly Viscount The Rolls Royce Of The Skies beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.539,87) versteigert wurde.
