Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian stillleben Mit Vogel (Still Life With Bird) by Josef Lauer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 26,323.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Josef Lauer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2001 the work Peaches, plums, grapes and a melon with autumn flowers on a draped, marble ledge was auctioned for GBP 23,500.00 (€ 37,919.60).

Die Arbeit Austrian stillleben Mit Vogel (Still Life With Bird) von Josef Lauer kam im November 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.875,00 (€ 26.323,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Josef Lauer konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2001 die Arbeit Peaches, plums, grapes and a melon with autumn flowers on a draped, marble ledge für GBP 23.500,00 (€ 37.919,60) versteigert.
