The work Half Length Portrait of a soldier, traditionally identified as Le Comte Francois Khevenhüller-Metsch by Josef Kriehuber was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 1,008.00 (€ 939.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Kriehuber achieve.
