Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saquarema by José Pancetti was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 74,500.00 (€ 60,255.58), 24% above the upper estimate. Other works by José Pancetti have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 123,750.00 (€ 95,280.26) in May 2013 for the work Marinha, Bahia (Série Mar Grande).
