Auction result well in line with expectations
The work En La Bibloteca (In The Library) by José Gallegos was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Gallegos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Choir of St. Mark'S, Venice in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,742.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit En La Bibloteca (In The Library) von José Gallegos kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.503,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Gallegos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Choir of St. Mark'S, Venice im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.742,63).
